It is officially November and I’m sure you all know what that means. No? “Let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up.” (Anybody? No? Ok. Moving on.)
November is National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo for short. This is the completely ludicrous time of year when writers all across the country buckle down and *attempt* to complete 50,000 words of writing in one month–aka a short, but full-length novel.
As this happens to be my inaugural year as a NaNoWriMo participant, I’m particularly skeptical about a person’s ability to complete a full novel in a month. It took me over a year to complete my roughly 56,000 word novel, Jesimae (get it now on Amazon!). But lately I feel like there’s nothing worse than limiting yourself just by assuming you can’t do something, so here I am, embarking on this crazy journey.
If you’d like to join me, make sure to follow my blog because I’ll most likely be posting my frustrations and triumphs here. Also, if you’d like to attempt it as well, go to NaNoWriMo’s website and sign up. Be sure to add me, imustbenutstotrythis, as a buddy. It’s only ~1700 words a day, people. We can do this!
Happy writing, everyone!
